California Medicare Plan
What Is It?
The California Medicare health plan allows seniors to choose a health plan that will be right for them in the long run both for their health and their finances. Medicare is an insure program that is funded wholly by the federal government. It is mainly for those people who are 65 years old or older to be supplied with adequate healthcare. This insurance does not pay the whole of any medical related bills. It pays a part of the bill and you are reasonable for the rest on your own. If this is too much of a difficulty, than there are what are called supplement plans that you can buy to cover the rest of the cost for a fee. A lot of people use these supplement plans to cover the rest of the cost.
What Does It Consist Of?
There are two parts to Medicare, part A and part B. part A covers all hospital related expenses such as surgeries and hospital stays. Part B covers medical care. This includes doctors visits and things of that nature. There is also part D which is voluntary and covers all of your prescription medications in part. These plans are not through Medicare. They are sold privately by insurance companies and can be approved by Medicare. Between those three plans and a single supplement policy for the part that Medicare cannot pay, you are covered all around. In order to have a supplement policy you must first be enrolled in both parts A and B of regular Medicare. The rules are relatively simple and can be found on several Medicare websites. These policies and coverages should be enough to get you through all of you medical needs, having to pay little out of pocket.
